Jan Naud –  Dome

After the domes I went to UC San Diego in search of a masters in anthropology.  But…instead, the call of the wild happened and I ended up spending the next several decades working with wild animals, lions and tigers and bears, oh my was my reality, and I’ve never looked back on missing out on vet school.

I’ve lived all over the country during my animal journey, ending up for a decade on five acres in Florida with my four baboons and black leopard (all rescues from different circumstances). I was so fortunate to have the baboons as my children for nearly twenty years. After their passing I worked with a nonprofit for at risk youth in New Mexico as well as a wild animal rescue facility in CA.

I now make my home in Los Angeles. I always wanted to be a veterinarian, but couldn’t get in as at that time they didn’t take women! I am so grateful for that as all of the adventures that I  experienced would never have happened.

Now in Los Angeles I work with dogs as a trainer and mostly a massage therapist (specializing in helping elderly dogs, as well as sick dogs, etc.). I have created a niche for myself here as no one really does what I do.

Because of my own health challenges I went back to school online and became a Certified Functional Nutritionist for humans!

I currently live with two dogs, three tarantulas and my carnivorous plants.

I just wanted to say how much I’ve enjoyed all of the updates from people so long ago.

Thanks,

Jan
